Gobble doesn't collect, send or sell anything about you. It has no accounts, no analytics and no servers. Everything it does happens in your browser.
What the extension does on your computer
- A screenshot of the tab you click it on, and where things are on it. That's the little world you roll over: the picture, and the position of each word, button and picture on the screen. It stays in that tab and is gone when you close the game.
- Your best. Your biggest ball, your longest run and the list of sites you've rolled up (each site's address, how much of it you ate and your fastest time clearing it) are saved with Chrome's extension storage, on your computer. Uninstalling Gobble deletes them.
- Clips. When you press Save clip, the video is made on your computer and saved to your downloads. It's never uploaded.
- Rolling into your next tab. This needs access to all sites, which Chrome asks you to allow the first time you click Roll into the next tab. Gobble uses it only to take a screenshot of the next tab you have open and run the game there, when you click it. It never rolls into mail, chats, documents, banking, payment, health, sign-in or account pages, pinned tabs or pages on your own network, and you can skip any tab with N. Like the first tab, that tab's clip shows what was on its page.
